Ngomane finds new role with Hotspurs

After a lengthy period flying under the radar, former Golden Arrows coach Simon Ngomane has crossed the borders to join Nsingizini Hotspurs in the Eswatini Premier League.

Ngomane has joined the likes of Fadlu Davids, Rhulani Mokwena, and Morena Ramoreboli to seek job opportunities outside the country.

The ex-Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach has linked up with Hotspurs as Technical Director and will oversee the club's development structures and the senior team.

Nsingizini Hospurs are well known in the country after playing against Stellenbosch FC during the CAF Confederation Cup's first preliminary round earlier this season, where they were walloped 8-0 on aggregate.

The Shiselweni-based outfit is hoping to bounce back to the continental tournament next season after roping in the CAF coaching instructor to bolster their technical team.

Hotspurs CEO Banele Ngobe has confirmed that Ngomane has already arrived in the Mountain Kingdom to resume duties with the Eswatini Premier League team.

"The commitment to improve the standard of football, in line with CAF and Sports Science, has led to the appointment of Ngomane. As a club, we understand that this is a relatively new role within football. However, we have seen some clubs, both in the English Premier League and Betway Premiership, having someone in this position," said Ngobe.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Abel 'Chaklas' Shongwe is currently serving as a scout for Nsingizini Hotspurs.
