After Siyabonga Ngezana was named Romanian SuperLiga Defender of the Season, KickOff looks at Kaizer Chiefs exports in the last decade.
Given that Chiefs have not won a trophy nine and half years, it is not surprising that they have not had a huge number of their players attracting overseas interest.
However, Ngezana landed himself a move to Romanian giants FCSB in July last year and the 27-year-old has become one of their best signings, with the award of the best defender in the league by sports publication Fanatik, a cherry on top, after the former Chiefs defender helped FCSB to win the league title for the first time since 2015.

Six months after Amakhosi sold Ngezana for a reported R12.3 million, the Glamour Boys also accepted the transfer request of Njabulo Blom to Major League Soccer (MLS) side St. Louis City.
Blom was seemingly affected by the departure of St. Louis City head coach, South African, Bradley Carnell, who was relieved of his duties in July this year and the Amakhosi development product returned back home on loan two months down the line.
The Soweto giants also successfully negotiated the transfer of former defender Teenage Hadebe to Turkish SuperLig club Yeni Malatyaspor in July 2019 after the Zimbabwean defender caught the attention of the Turkish club playing for Zimbabwe at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Hadebe, who currently plays for MLS outfit Cincinnati, left Chiefs for greener pastures a year after Siphiwe Tshabalala also joined Turkish club BB Erzurumspor.
However, Tshabalala, who got his dream move at 33, only played for one season in Turkey and was unattached from July 2019 before he joined AmaZulu a little over a year later. At Usuthu, 'Shabba' stayed only for one season before he was deemed surplus to requirements.

Tefu Mashamaite and Mandla Masango also left for overseas clubs after leaving Chiefs as free agents both in 2015.
Mashamaite joined Swedish side Hacken but only lasted a season before he was back home at SuperSport and Masango was at Danish club Randers for one-and-half seasons and also returned home to Matsatsantsa in January 2017.
