It has only been a month since his sacking at Mamelodi Sundowns after a short stay, but Romain Folz already has his name being mentioned for another coaching job.
Folz was at Chloorkop – where he worked an assistant coach to Manqoba Mngqithi – for just five months.

That Sundowns job was the 10th in Africa for the Frenchman, who is still 34.
Folz was not even 30 upon getting into his first coaching job in Africa in 2019 when he was brought in to work in the Ugandan national team.
He came in as an assistant to fellow Frenchman Sebastien Desabre, working in the East African country from January 2019 to June of the same year.
Since that job with the Ugandan Cranes, he moved along as Desabre's assistant at Pyramids in Egypt, then took over as head coach at Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
From there, it was another head coach job at Ashanti Gold SC, before he became an assistant to another Frenchman Corentin Martins in the Mauritania national team.
Straight out of that assistant job, he joined Township Rollers as head coach in Botswana, before Marumo Gallants recruited him but was gone after six games prior to surfacing at AmaZulu FC five weeks later.
Folz lasted six months as head coach at Usuthu, after which he took over at Horoya AC in Guinea and then got the Sundowns job.
