When Downs & Bucs will discover CAFCL last 8 opponents 'revealed'

The date for the quarter-final draw of the CAF Champions League has reportedly been revealed.

Following a thrilling group-stage campaign, only eight teams remain in the Champions League.

These include Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Al Ahly, MC Alger, Pyramids, Esperance de Tunis, Al Hilal, and AS FAR.

According to Arabic news outlet WinWin.com, the date for the eagerly awaited draw has now been revealed, with the event slated to take place on Monday, 17 February 2025.

The report claims that the draw will take place at the studios of beIN Sports in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

It is further reported that the CAF Clubs and Licensing Committee has decided to postpone the start of the quarter-final phase due to the initial date clashing with the end of Ramadan.

As such, it is stated that the first-leg fixtures of the quarter-finals will be played on 1 and 2 April, instead of 28, 29, or 30 March.

The second-leg clashes are reportedly scheduled to take place on 8 and 9 April.

The report also indicates that the semi-final match dates have been revealed, with the first legs set to take place on 18 and 19 April.

The decisive semi-final second legs are reportedly expected to be held a week later, on 25 and 26 April.

Lastly, the two-legged final will reportedly be played on 24 May and 1 June 2025.
