Bafana Bafana defeated Egypt 3-1 to secure their spot in the next round of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers on Sunday night.
Bafana made a few changes from the first-leg as Siphelele Luthuli, Aiden McCarthy, Kwanda Mngonyama and Sammy Seabi were handed starts by coach Molefi Ntseki.
Neo Maema came close to breaking the deadlock with a well-timed effort from a clever position, but he was denied by the woodwork.
Maema eventually broke the deadlock after getting onto a lay-off in the area following a late run and applied a stern finish in the near corner.
It fast turned into a one-man show when Maema beat one challenge after coming wide to the area to get in space and found the woodwork with a rasping shot.
Bafana were two up a little to the half-hour mark after Yanda Mfolozi pounced on a reverse pass wide of the area and finished from point-blank range.
The Pharaohs got one back not long thereafter through a clever finish from key attacker Mohamed El-Sayed.
However, Bafana raced further ahead five minutes in the second half when Luthuli converted from the penalty after Letsoalo had gone down in the area.
Letsoalo nearly got one himself a few moments later from a cutback to the right of the box, but he clattered the top of the woodwork.
Stand-in coach Molefi Ntseki saw his charges to an emphatic victory in the end.
