Matsheke signed with Pretoria Callies at the beginning of the season before parting ways with the club in December.

The 26-year-old also spent some time with Stellenbosch FC before cutting ties with the Cape Town-based outfit due to disciplinary issues.

Kruger manager Bevan Mahlangu has confirmed the signing of Matsheke until the end of the season.

"Darrel Matsheke is with Kruger United. We have signed him," said Mahlangu in a brief interview whilst preparing with his side for the Nedbank Cup match against Stellenbosch on Tuesday evening.

Kruger currently lie in seventh place in the standings with 23 points after playing 16 games.
