EXCLUSIVE: Pirates target two more signings

KickOff can reveal that Orlando Pirates have identified a midfielder and defender, both from within the PSL, as plans for next season continue.

As broken by this website, Pirates have already signed exciting winger Kabelo Kgositsile from Baroka FC on a five-year deal to increase the options in the attacking line for 2025/26.

Now, information coming through is that the club is eyeing Tshepang Moremi, who is in the last year of his contract with AmaZulu FC.

However, it is still not yet clear if the 24-year-old still has an option on his current deal after joining the Durban-based outfit in 2022 from Bizana Pondo Chiefs, who were relegated from the second tier a few years ago.

Meanwhile, another target is Tshepo Mashiloane.

He can operate both as a right-back and central defender, and currently calls Baroka FC home.

According to a source close to the Soweto giants, the club has already made a concrete move to bring both Moremi and Mashiloane to their Rand Stadium training base come pre-season.

"The negotiations between Orlando Pirates and Baroka FC over the services of Mashiloane are almost done," said the source.

"The club is also keen to sign Moremi for next season and negotiations have already started."

Pirates are currently away in Algeria for the CAF Champions League quarter-final match against MC Alger taking place on Tuesday (21:00 SA time).
