France arrive in high fashion for Bafana Bafana

France stars arrived at the national team training camp in quite some style as the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann were all dripping ahead of their clash with Bafana Bafana.

The big occasion

South Africa are set to take on world champions France next Tuesday in an international friendly at the Stade Pierre Mauroy stadium, which is the reigning Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille's home venue.

Style is a tradition

The French are renowned for style as their capital city Paris is famed for being home to arguably the biggest fashion week in the world. Therefore, it is unsurprising to see how self-aware their players are when it comes to dressing up.

Manager Didier Deschamps picked a full-strength squad for the tie against Hugo Broos' men, albeit there were injuries to the likes of Karim Benzema.

The glamour

It seems streetwear is the main theme for Les Bleus, as none of the stars arrived in suits. The team arrived in cargo pants, colourful sneakers, vintage jackets, hoodies and two-piece tracksuits among other casualwear items.

Did you know?

SA last faced off against the European giants during the 2010 FIFA World Cup at the Free State Stadium. They won that group stage encounter 2-1 thanks to goals by Katlego Mphela and Bongani Khumalo.

Your thoughts, please?

How likely are Bafana Bafana to get a good result against the third-ranked side in the world according to FIFA?
