Gabadinho Mhango reinvents himself

Orlando Pirates star Gabadinho Mhango is seemingly reinventing himself off the pitch having struggled to get game time this season. Here's a look!

The story

The 29-year-old has made a measly eight appearances across all club competitions this season as he has dropped down the pecking order under Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids this campaign.

Although he's been unfortunate in that regard, it seems like it's all systems go off the field and in his country Malawi, where he is a national icon who is even featured on food products.

Reinvented style

Fashion-wise, the Malawian has always been formidable given the high-end clothes he continues to rock. More recently, he has adopted a dapper sense of dressing himself having worn blazers and a stylish pair of derby shoes.

The former Bidvest Wits attacker also had his eyebrows trimmed, however, we'll leave that part to the audience to reflect on.

A marketable star

Mhango is undeniably a hero in his homeland. This has been shown by the incredible support he has received whenever he has touched down on their soil. An Indonesian brand named Indomie, which does business in Malawi, featured the forward on a few of their food products including noodles and pilchards.

It appears that Mhango is quite marketable in his nation and deservedly so.

Did you know?

The 2019/20 league top goalscorer has won three trophies in the PSL, including one league title, the Telkom Knockout and an MTN8.

Your thoughts, please?

With the inconsistent Kwame Peprah, do you think Mhango deserves a chance?
