Inside Sifiso Myeni's hiatus from the game

With recent reports claiming that former Orlando Pirates attacker Sifiso Myeni is set to join a new club in Botswana, here's a look at what the 34-year-old has been up to.

The story

Earlier this week it emerged that Myeni will reportedly join Botswana's second-tier outfit VTM FC on a one-year deal. The player seems to have been handed a lifeline having had a fall from grace in the PSL.

However, due to his undeniable talent, many fans will be relieved to see the player competing again since he left TS Sporting in 2020. Since then, the 34-year-old has been eerily lowkey.

A small catch up

One thing that seems certain is that the skillful baller has had some time to focus on being a dad as he is often seen posting his daughter on Instagram.

Apart from his father duties, Ntsunda appears to be a committed church-goer and he is a devoted member of the Zion Christian Church. The former Bidvest Wits winger also still has his black Audi A3 hatchback.

While he struggled to find a club, the Soweto-born star proved that football was still in his blood as he regularly participated in local matches on gravel surfaces - something another former Bucs star, Thabo Rakhale, is also doing too.

Did you know?

Myeni has made more than 280 appearances in the South African topflight, contributing 35 goals and 46 assists, according to Transfermarkt.

Your thoughts, please?

How would you sum up Myeni's career?
