Orlando Pirates launch new home kit and away kits for 2020/21 season with Tyson and Hotto

Orlando Pirates and Adidas have launched their new home and away kits featuring new signings ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Pirates will kickstart the inaugural DStv Premiership campaign with optimism after a strong end to the season helped them qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup with a third-place finish.

And as they venture into continental football, their already star-studded squad has now been bolstered further with four new signings including Bafana Bafana captain Thulani Hlatswayo and Namibia star Deon Hotto.

The experienced Bidvest Wits duo look set to play crucial roles as Pirates aim to restore their glory days in the South African top-flight while both Adidas athletes now team up in a marketing dream for The Buccaneers.

With the traditional black and white shirts for the age-old institution, the club revealed an orange away strip with a notable new badge, without their star, as the inspiration behind their latest and modern designs.

"Orlando Pirates is a club that stands for innovation and confidence, while staying true to its roots," Bob Maphosa, sports marketing manager for Adidas South Africa said.

"We focused on bringing unique elements to each kit, such as the iconic skull and crossbones and using orange for the first time in the club's history."
