Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have released an eye-catching third kit for the 2020/21 season, and it bears striking similarities to the Portugal national team's popular strip.
On Friday, Wolves unveiled their new adidas third strip for the season that boasts a stylish maroon and green finish, similar to that worn by A Selecao in recent years.

"The maroon shirts bring an exciting new look to Wolves on the road and accompany maroon shorts and green socks..." an official statement on the club's website read.
"... Throughout the strip, the Wolves badge and adidas logos have been altered in colour to suit the new-look, exciting kit."

While neither adidas nor Wolves have explained the inspiration behind the new design, it appears to have been influenced by the growing contingent of Portuguese players and staff at the club, which has seen no fewer than 10 players registered for the squad this season.
That number includes established internationals such as Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio, while manager Nuno Espirito Santo also hails from the home of the reigning European champions.
