A former FIFA referee has set the record straight on Nkosinathi Sibisi's controversial goal that handed Orlando Pirates all three points against Polokwane City.
Pirates secured a vital 1-0 win over Rise and Shine at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, keeping their league title hopes alive.

The goal was scored by Sibisi, who looked to have collided with goalkeeper Brian Bwire before tapping the ball into the back of the net.
However, reviewing the goal on SABC Sport's Soccer Zone, Victor Hlungwani explained that the shot-stopper had fumbled the ball by himself and onto the path of the centre-back, therefore it was a legitimate goal.
"We see Sibisi scoring a goal," said Hlungwani, pointing at the screen for reference.
"Like we said, when the goalkeeper is in possession of the ball, he cannot be challenged.
"Is this one in control of the ball? Let's see...
"Firstly, there was talk of offside. There is no offside because both (Makhehlene) Makhaula and Sibisi are in an onside position, they are made onside by (Manuel) Kambala there.
"The ball fell or the goalkeeper fumbled the ball, and anyone can challenge for that ball. Therefore, Sibisi comes and says 'manna from heaven' and then he scores a beautiful goal," explained the erstwhile PSL referee.
