Usuthu announced an 'amicable agreement' between the two parties via their official channels.
The former Ajax Cape Town defender signed a six-month deal during the January transfer window and but has only managed one league appearance since then.
"It is not the ideal scenario to cut ties with a player at this stage of this season. We have reached an amicable agreement with Ayabulela and wish him all the best with his future," said AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela in a statement.
"We will not be making any further comments on the matter. Right now our main priority is to ensure that the club finishes the season in a positive manner."
