The Chilli Boys clinched an impressive result thanks to a surprise 1-0 win over Orlando Pirates under new head coach Daine Klate.
Klate's side have collected four points from their opening three matches in an impressive start for the newly-appointed head coach in his maiden season.
Chippa next travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium for a league clash against Maritzburg United on Saturday.
"It works for other clubs, but I don't think it will work for Chippa United because at the end of the day, you need someone to be accountable," said Mpengesi.
"It's always difficult to have more people at the helm as accountability will then be problematic.
"Of course, it's good for other clubs going that route, but I don't see us as Chippa United going that route."
