Dove Wome set for SuperSport United return as Orlando Pirates opt against making loan move permanent

Wome spent the past season on loan at Orlando Pirates with an option to make the move a permanent one.

However, the Buccaneers have opted against recalling the former Free State Stars midfielder despite having already begun with their preparations for the the 2017/18 season.

According to a source close to Wome the player is back in the country after enjoying a vacation in Togo and has received no word from Pirates.

"Wome is back in the country. Pirates have not said anything," said the source.

"He has a contract with SuperSport United and will be reporting for pre-season training with them this coming season."

SuperSport coach Eric Tinkler has already indicated that he will welcome Wome back to the club if his move to Pirates fails to materialise.

"If it doesn't happen [a move to Pirates], he is still a SuperSport United player and he will come back to us," he stated.
