Emmanuel Adebayor has never been shy of controversy and the latest flaunt of wealth to 'motivate' fans had all eyes on him. From an elegant Rolls Royce to his stylish G-Wagon, the African legend's lavish lifestyle is a sight to behold.
A 36-year-old Adebayor is enjoying the fruits of his labour in what's been an inspiring rise to superstar status since his early days in Lome, the capital city of Togo.

Having been scouted by French club Metz as a 14-year-old, the rest, as they say, is history. With two decades at the highest level in Europe representing the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid, Togo's record goalscorer has built a lifestyle that's offered him the certified baller status.
No comparison to Drogba and Eto'o
Last month he claimed that he shouldn't be compared to Samuel Eto'o or Didier Drogba and has no reason to donate to his home country during the coronavirus pandemic.
"I do what I want to do, eat the food I want, and this is the most important," he said on Facebook Live. "Then, there will be those who criticise me for not having established a charity in Togo.

But this didn't stop the Olympia striker's PR team from 'motivating' fans on social media this week.
In a video posted by 'Team Adebayor' on Instagram, the caption read; "Monday Motivation - this video is not a message to tell you, 'SEA has made it'. But rather to say, 'You can do it too!'."
A supercar traffic jam in his driveway
Some of Adebayor's high-end vehicles include a black and gold Rolls Royce worth R8-million, a Range Rover and a highly modified Mercedes-Benz G65 valued at R4-million today.
The altered SUV features La-Z-Boy seating and curtains on the windows - offering a limousine-like feel to the already luxurious ride.
Finished off with the personalised number plates in reference to his full name Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, the ex-Premier League bad boy often has 'traffic jams' for his car collection, which can be seen in the gallery above.

Adebayor, now plying his trade in Paraguay, beat Mohamed Aboutrika and Michael Essien to the 2008 CAF African Footballer of the Year award.
