With Botswana needing just one point to ensure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, history beckons for Morena Ramoreboli, who could become the only South African coach to qualify for the tournament.
Ramoreboli spoke to Egyptian media on Monday ahead of their crunch tie against Egypt on Tuesday evening at the Cairo International Stadium.
The South African tactician was appointed as Botswana's interim coach in October following the resignation of Didier Gomes da Rosa, who abruptly ended his tenure after back-to-back wins over Cape Verde in the AFCON qualifiers last month.

Viewed as one of the best coaches in Botswana, the Jwaneng Galaxy manager was roped in to spearhead the final two games of qualifiers against Mauritania and Egypt.
His first game in charge against Mauritania at home on 15 November ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving his team needing just one point to book a second-ever spot at AFCON.
Botswana currently sit second in Group C, just three points ahead of third-place Cape Verde, who notably have an identical goal difference of minus three.
With a few permutations now involved, Ramoreboli said he would marshal his side to ensure they avoid mistakes, as their fate is in their own hands.
"Our match against the Egyptian team will be very difficult, and the Pharaohs are one of the top teams with players and a coach at the highest level," said the 43-year-old, according to Cairo24.com.
"The Egyptian team will seek to achieve a positive result, and our easiest way is to avoid making mistakes.
"We will try to perform well against the Egyptian team in terms of attack and defence, and if we are unable to attack well, we will organise ourselves defensively.
"We must create a balance between defence and attack during the Egypt match, in order to avoid making mistakes.
"Our chances of qualifying are still there, and we will try not to let the distance between us and snatching victory be too great."
Should Botswana qualify for AFCON 2025, it will be their first appearance at the tournament since their debut in 2012. Ramoreboli will also become the only South African tactician to lead a side to the showpiece.
