African giants' stance on hiring Pitso & Micho 'revealed'

Following much speculation, one of Africa's biggest teams has reportedly revealed its stance on hiring renowned managers Pitso Mosimane and Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic.

Recent reports had suggested that Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic had shortlisted the South African tactician as a candidate to replace Rusmir Cviko after they parted ways with the Bosnian coach late last month.

With "Micho" also having been linked with the job, a member of the Green Eagles' board of directors has reportedly come out to deny suggestions that they have been in negotiations with the pair.

According to Moroccan news site El Botola, an unnamed club executive said that the managers who are currently linked with their hot seat are "just rumours".

The source also stated that the side is negotiating with other managers on their shortlist, but are doing so in complete secrecy.

It is believed the list of coaches they are looking at to fill the vacant role consist of individuals both in and outside of Africa.

Other reports suggest that Mosimane's hefty salary requirements were an issue for Raja.

Cviko had been in charge for just six games before he was relieved of his duties.

The Botola Pro 1 outfit managed to qualify for the group stage of this year's edition of the CAF Champions League after progressing past the preliminary rounds of the competition.
