How Toronto FC's manager feels regarding Cassius Mailula's potential return after his loan move to Wydad Athletic Club is completed has reportedly been revealed.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Mailula has joined Rulani Mokwena's side in Morocco on loan until 31 July 2025.

Wydad have the option to make the deal permanent, and in the event they do trigger this clause, this would spell the end to the striker's time at Toronto after just two years on their books.
Following his arrival in Canada from Mamelodi Sundowns in July 2023, the 23-year-old has made just eight appearances for the Major League Soccer outfit's first team, contributing with two goals and one assist.
With there now being many questions over the player's long-term future in Canada, Toronto boss John Herdman's stance on welcoming the player back at the end of his loan has seemingly been revealed.
According to Torontoreds.com, Herdman does not want to fully close the door on Mailula.
It is claimed that the idea is to give the South Africa international significant minutes to adapt to a high level of football, with the hope that the Limpopo-born star will return to Toronto more ready for first-team MLS action.

Nevertheless, Mailula has already been joined by a new player at Wydad, with Brazilian star Pedrinho having completed his move to Casablanca late on Wednesday night.
