The reports come days after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced a foreign coach would be appointed to help George after the slow start to the World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles drew 1-1 with South Africa in Uyo last week before they lost to Benin, who are coach by former Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr.
However, it seems the NFF will be looking for a new head coach if the latest reports are anything to go by.
