Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro has responded to talk about being sacked after the surprise 1-1 draw with Lesotho on Thursday.
The Super Eagles did not get off to the desired start in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after dropping points against Lesotho, who are ranked 153rd.

The Portuguese tactician was asked about the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) potentially relieving him of his duty after the disappointing draw.
"Why should I be sacked? Let me explain the performance," Peseiro said, as per Daily Post.
"We created many opportunities to score. Our opponent only had two shots and scored from one of them.
"I am sad of course and a bit disappointed also. But my team tried to get the maximum points.
"I am sad because of the result but about the performance, Lesotho stayed behind all through for 90 minutes. They only came forward two or three times."
The Super Eagles will be back in action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Zimbabwe at the Huye Stadium.
