Bayern star's future takes twist amid Man Utd links

There has reportedly been a surprising twist in the future of Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, who is wanted by the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Canada international Alphonso Davies is heading into the final six months of his contract with the Bundesliga giants.

Davies has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, who are reportedly looking to bolster their defence.

Man United and Liverpool are now seemingly also in the race for the left-back's signature at the end of the season.

However, all three European giants could miss out on the player after Bayern Sporting Director Christoph Freund hinted that the player could end up signing a new deal.

"In principle, we are positive," Freund told Sky Germany.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenburg has also stated that United are aware that the 24-year-old left-back could pen-to-paper on a new deal.

Davies has been with Bayern since 2019 and has gone on to make 215 appearances while winning numerous trophies, including the UEFA Champions League.
