A Borussia Dortmund star has aimed a cheeky jab at the English Premier League following this week's scintillating European football action.
Manchester City and Arsenal were both knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the quarter-final stage after suffering losses to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, respectively, while Liverpool and West Ham suffered defeats that ended their UEFA Europa League campaigns.

Aston Villa are the only English side that remains competitive in European competitions, beating LOSC Lille on penalties to advance to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
The Premier League is considered by many to be the most competitive league in the world, while the German top flight has been labelled by some as a "farmer's league".
This is due to the dominance of Bayern, who have won the title for 11 consecutive seasons between 2013 and 2023, with Bayer Leverkusen breaking their streak this season.
The team led by Xabi Alonso are also in the semi-finals of the Europa League after beating the Hammers 3-1 on aggregate.
With the Bavarians and Dortmund now vying for a spot in the final of the Champions League, Bayern defender Mats Hummels has sparked speculation with his latest comments on social media, mocking those who have previously referred to the Bundesliga as a farmer's league.
"Good harvesting this week, my fellow farmers," he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Dortmund will face Paris Saint-Germain in in the first leg of their UCL semi-final on 1 May, while Bayern will take on Spanish giants Real Madrid in their first leg on 30 April.
