Mamelodi Sundowns face Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League with a psychological advantage, as the side's former midfielder weighs in.
Al Ahly are the traditional powerhouses and over the years brought fear into any opposition they face.

The last time the two teams met, the Tshwane giants eliminated Al Ahly in the African Football League semi-finals with a 1-0 aggregate win in October/ November 2023.
The South Africans had embarrassed the Club of the Century 5-2 in the same year in May in a Champions League group game.
Given that Al Ahly also could not beat Orlando Pirates in the Champions League group stage this season, Brent Carelse believes this could be a campaign where Sundowns finally go all the way.
"I think all the teams currently stand a chance of reaching the final. But Sundowns, yeah, it looks good for them, they they're getting results when they need to," noted the 44-year-old.
"Against Esperance is a good example. Esperance is a good team and they managed to hold their own with all that crowd and everything.
"They've done well so far in the CAF Champions League and hopefully they can go all the way and win it again," added Carelse.
