Liverpool are now reportedly in talks to sign a Bayern Munich star who is said to have already reached an agreement to join the Premier League giants.
The Reds have endured a difficult season, one that has seen them drop to eighth place on the Premier League table, nine points away from the coveted UEFA Champions League spots with eight games left to play.

Should the Merseyside club fail to qualify for next season's UCL, they will have done so for the first time since the 2015/16 campaign.
In a recent interview, Jurgen Klopp insisted that signings will be made in the next transfer window in a bid to improve the squad and once again challenge for top honours next season.
According to the Daily Mirror, Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is open to making the switch to Liverpool, and has already agreed his wages with the club.
The Reds are said to have already spoken to his father Ryan Gravenberch Sr and his agent Jose Fortes Rodriguez regarding the potential transfer.
Gravenberch, 20, is believed to earn £100 000 (R2.2 million) a week after tax in Germany, which means Klopp's side would have to give him a contract worth £200 000 (R4.5 million) a week to match his current wages.
However, the player's salary is reportedly not an issue for Liverpool, who have indicated as much to his advisors.

Having joined Bayern at the beginning of this season after impressing at Ajax Amsterdam, his first campaign with the Bavarians has not gone as expected, with the young midfielder becoming a bit-part player during Julian Nagelsmann's tenure at the club, which ended abruptly in March.
He has also only featured once, in a 10-minute cameo against Hoffenheim on Saturday, in new manager Thomas Tuchel's first four games in charge.
