Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League after defeating Southampton 3-1 courtesy of a hat-trick from Amad Diallo.
Lenny Yoro and Alejandro Garnacho were recalled to the Red Devils line-up following Sunday's FA Cup triumph, as Harry Maguire and Diogo Dalot (suspended) dropped out.
The visitors surprisingly went close to taking the lead after 12 minutes through Kamaldeen Sulemana, who managed to skip past Yoro in the box before forcing Andre Onana into a fine save.
United had a big chance of their own in the 20th minute after Rasmus Hojlund was slipped through on goal by Bruno Fernandes before pulling the back for Garnacho, who somehow failed to hit the target from close range.
While the hosts struggled to create more openings, the Saints took a deserved lead just before the break as Manuel Ugarte unknowingly deflected Matheus Nunes' corner into his own net.
The home side responded with a change immediately after the break as Kobbie Mainoo was withdrawn for Antony, while Toby Collyer and Joshua Zirkzee were introduced seven minutes after the break.
The Red Devils should have restored parity just before the hour mark when Garnacho got into the box before picking out Antony, who failed to hit fire into an empty net from six yards out.
Ruben Amorim's charges had to wait until the 80th minute to get back on level terms when the ball fell perfectly for Amad Diallo in the box and the Ivorian rifled the ball beyond Saints goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Diallo was not done there as Ivorian latched onto a lovely chipped pass from substitute Christian Eriksen and volleyed past Ramsdale to seal a vital victory for the Red Devils.
There was still enough time for the Ivorian to complete his hat-trick after winning the ball back in the box and before having the simple task of slotting into an empty net.
