Liverpool invested £22.8-million in January 2011 to rope him in from the Eredivisie and he went on to earn a cult-hero status at Anfield after three and a half seasons of spectacular displays.
With 82 goals in 133 games before his lucrative switch to the Camp Nou, it was Suarez final season that will live long in the memory of the Anfield faithful as he scored 31 Premier League goals that nearly saw them clinch the league title.
And speaking to BBC's Match of the Day Top 10 podcast, Gerrard concedes everyone at the club knew he would be a special player from the very first training session.

"A lot of strikers that we used to sign did have respect for the likes of Jamie Carragher and other names around the squad but he [Suarez] had no respect for anyone in training, in a good way," Gerrard explained.
"He'd be backing into them, he'd be leaving a bit in on them, he'd have elbows up and I'd be thinking that's not normally what you'd see in training.
"You'd normally see a lot of respect but Luis would run through anyone and have a defender up the wall at any given moment. You knew straight away in days rather than weeks that he was going to be a top player for Liverpool."
