Real Madrid grabbed back-to-back wins in LALIGA following a 2-1 victory away to Celta Vigo on Saturday evening.
Los Blancos called on Thibaut Courtois ahead of Andriy Lunin in goal, with Eder Militao, Fran Garcia, and Lucas Vazquez in for Dani Carvajal, Ferland Mendy and Luka Modric.
Celta carved out the first chance of the match after the opening minutes through Williot Swedberg who were able to cut into the box following a forward run, but Courtois smothered.
However, the visitors stayed calm and got in the lead in the 20th minute after Kylian Mbappe collected a loose pass from Eduardo Camavinga and stepped forward to find the top corner.
Brazilian star Vinicius Junior could've extended the visitors lead twenty minutes later with a free-header in the box following a Vazquez cross, but he went over.
The home team weren't overawed despite trailing the more fancied Los Blancos and remained courageous as the first stanza drew to a close.
Celta came out energised after the interval and five minutes from the resumption got on level terms when Swedberg found acres of space in the box to tuck in Oscar Mingueza's delivery.
Los Blancos appeared to have gone back ahead minutes later with Jude Bellingham combining with Mbappe who in-turn freed Vinicius to tap in, but it was disallowed for offside.
Substitutions for Madrid towards the closing quarter saw Rodrygo come on for Camavinga before Modric entered in the place of Federico Valverde.
The defending champions eventually regained the lead in the midway mark of the second period when the self-same Vinicius ran in-behind to get onto Modric's pass and finished calmly.
Celta didn't lose hope and deep in added time got a chance to level matters, but fluffed their lines and left the visitors to victory.
