Carlo Ancelotti's side pulled off an impressive comeback after the French club had initially taken the lead through Mbappe to take their aggregate score to 2-0, before his compatriot Karim Benzema scored a second-half hat-trick to have the final say for Los Blancos.
Since Neymar returned against Nantes on 19 February following a lengthy injury lay-off, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has seen his team lose three of their four games across all competitions.
Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy was left unimpressed with Les Parisiens' attackers after their latest match.

"They're lazy, that front three… Mbappe was brilliant first half but PSG just fell off. They couldn't be bothered," he said on talkSPORT's The Sports Bar show.
"Neymar, I've been saying it for years, he's so overrated – so overrated!
"Neymar, Messi and Mbappe up top… that front three could be amazing on their day and do all sorts. But when you're up against it and you're chasing back and out of possession, those three are passengers.

"He goes to a league where they don't get tested ever and then he plays a game against a proper team at a proper stadium…
"They are weak when it comes to these big moments, PSG, they've proved it time and time again… they choked again.
"I've been saying this about PSG for years, the problem with them is they play in a league where they don't have these types of games.
"Across Europe they have big games, big derbies where they test you. No one tests PSG… they haven't necessarily got to be a full tilt to win the league, they can cruise the league.
"I'm glad they're out."
