A new report has suggested that the relationship between Paris Saint-Germain teammates Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos is a tense one, with the pair's history coming to the fore.
PSG had an eye-catching transfer window a few months back, during which they secured the signatures of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid's respective captains in a bid to reclaim the Ligue 1 title this season.
Due to the roles they shared at their former clubs, Messi and Ramos were often involved in public spats on and off the pitch in LaLiga, and there was no love lost between the two players over the years, with the Spain international having a history of red-card challenges on the Argentine.

L'Equipe has now reported that the pair's interactions with each other in Paris are very different from everyone else due to their shared history in past ElClasicos.
Ramos is said to have developed a great relationship with several figures in the PSG dressing room, but when it comes to Messi, they are "cordial" at best.

"You can't erase 10 years of Clasicos just like that," a source told L'Equipe when quizzed about the relationship between the two stars.
While the veteran duo are seemingly not great friends, they are yet to play together as the former Los Blancos centre-back has had a number of injury issues that have forced him to stay on the sidelines.
