Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has dropped a big hint as to who will replace Toni Kroos this season.
Kroos surprised many by announcing his retirement from professional football last season at the age of 34.
Los Blancos are yet to sign a midfielder this season, having already brought in Kylian Mbappe and Endrick in the current transfer window.

However, it seems the club may not need to spend money to bring in another midfielder, with Ancelotti revealing veteran midfielder Luka Modric able to play the same role.
"Today he was a central pivot. He can also be a pivot on the left like Toni was," Ancelotti said, as per Diario AS.
"He has a lot of quality at bringing the ball out, and helps the team a lot because he manages timing very well, he has a lot of experience… He is a fantastic player."
Ancelotti was also asked if Modric would be able to cover Aurelien Tchouameni when he helps out at central defence.
"No no. The centre-backs are Rüdiger and Militao. As long as they are fit, they are going to play," he added.
"Tchouameni has different characteristics compared to Modric, obviously, but Tchouameni is also a great pivot."
