Andrea Pirlo 'Cristiano Ronaldo was really angry with himself'

Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo reserved some special praise for Cristiano Ronaldo, who equalled a 59-year-old Serie A record on Saturday night.

The Old Lady got back to winning ways with a 4-0 thrashing of Parma on Saturday evening, with Ronaldo contributing with a brace.

Ronaldo showed great character to bounce back after missing a penalty against Atalanta during the week, and Pirlo reveals the player quite upset with himself.

"Ronaldo was quite rightly angry with himself after missing a penalty, but fortunately he didn't have much time to stew over it and immediately got the chance to show just how much he loves to score goals," the coach told DAZN.

Ronaldo was included the Ballon d'Or Dream Team:

"We weren't happy with Wednesday's result, but the performance was good. This evening we wanted to recover the points we dropped against Atalanta and I think we achieved it."

With his brace on Saturday, Ronaldo match former Juventus striker Omar Sivori's record off 33 league goals in year.

Ronaldo also moved to the top of Serie A Golden Boot standings with 12 goals, two head of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku/
