Prior to signing for Atletico Madrid at the beginning of the season, Suarez was strongly linked with a move to Juventus and passed a citizenship test in Italy in September ahead of a possible move to the reigning Serie A champions.
However, once Suarez's marks were revealed, it was later alleged that the former FC Barcelona star had cheated on his examination and that the marks he obtained were agreed ahead of time, potentially with the involvement of Bianconeri officials.
"Juventus Football Club confirms that today Fabio Paratici has been notified of information regarding the guarantee and the right of defence," the club said in an official statement.
"The crime alleged by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Perugia is exclusively Article 371 bis of the Criminal Code. The club strongly reiterates the correctness of Paratici's work and is confident that the ongoing investigations will help clarify his position within a reasonable time."
