Reigning Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly considering offloading star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's contract in Turin is only set to expire on 30 June 2022, but the Bianconeri are said to be looking to sell the Portugal superstar at the end of the current campaign amid increasing financial insecurities.
Per Spanish publication Sport, Juve are hoping to recoup a portion of the €100 million (R1.8 billion) they paid to sign him from Real Madrid in 2018, as well as get the 35-year-old off their wage bill.
Ronaldo reportedly earns €31 million (R565 million) per year in Italy, which has become cumbersome for Juventus, with the club said to be struggling to afford his services as a result of the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.

While finances are at the heart of the Bianconeri's apparent willingness to offload Ronaldo, it is also claimed that manager Andrea Pirlo has been displeased with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's attitude off the pitch, where he has been accused of being selfish and lacking leadership.
It is further claimed that Juventus are also disappointed at their failure to win the UEFA Champions League since the former Manchester United star's arrival, which was the primary goal behind his acquisition from Los Blancos.
