The Germans secured passage into the next round after netting two crucial away goals in the first-leg in Spain to take the 2-1 advantage into the return fixture.
Robert Lewandowski almost opened the scoring in the ninth minute for the Bavarians with a strike from just outside the box but Sevilla goalkeeper David Soria leaped high to tip the ball over the bar.
It was an even start towards the 20th minute as the Spanish side were doing well to restrict Bayern to little chances going forward.
Franck Ribery was the most dangerous player for Jupp Heynckes’s men going forward but he could not find the right pass to release Lewandowski.
Six minutes before the break, the Frenchman was denied the breakthrough by Sevilla shot-stopper Soria, who kept out the stinging effort from distance.
Lewandowski should have broken the deadlock five minutes into the second stanza for the Bavarians after receiving a telling cross from Rafinha but his headed effort hit the side netting.
James Rodriguez had a chance to grab the lead for the hosts two minutes before the hour with a strike at the near post but Soria kept the visitors in the game once more.
Clear cut chances were hard to come by for the hosts and Heynckes, with ten minutes to go, decided to pull out striker Lewandowski for Sandro Wagner.
However, Sevilla who needed two unanswered goals to progress were running out of time to save the tie and did not show a sense of urgency to get back into it.
The Germans were the ones pushing for a goal in the closing stages but the goalless draw was enough for them to qualify for the semi-finals.
