Eintracht Frankfurt 0-3 Arsenal
Arsenal made a bright start to their UEFA Europa League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in Group F on Thursday.
The Gunners started with youth protégés Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka as the likes of Mesut Ozil, Bernd Leno and Matteo Guendouzi were rested.
Willock put his side ahead on 38 minutes before Saka combined with Pepe to finish five minutes to the end, while Pierre Emerick Aubameyang completed the rout two minutes later.
Frankfurt ended with ten men after Dominik Kohr was handed a second yellow for a professional foul in the final 12 minutes of the match.
CFR Cluj 2-1 Lazio
Lazio fell to a surprise 2-1 loss away to Romania's CFR Cluj in their Group E opener at the Stadionul Dr. Constantin Radulescu.
The Rome outfit made with a few changes such as Bastos, who fired in the opener on 25 minutes. Ciprian Deac levelled from the spot before Billel Ormani found the winner in the last 15 minutes.
Qarabag FK 0-3 Sevilla
Sevilla got Group A off the mark with a 3-0 thumping of Qarabag FK at the Respublika Stadion in the capital city of Baku.
Javier Hernandez, who recently joined from West Ham United, partnered Munir El Haddadi and Franco Vazquez in all out attacking trio.
Hernandez put Sevilla in the lead with a 62nd minute finish. Munir then grabbed their second in the 78th minute before Oliver Torres completed a thrilling evening with the third on 85 minutes.
