England 1-2 Greece
England came unstuck in the UEFA Nations League after losing 2-1 to Greece in a League B Group 2 encounter on Thursday evening.
The runners-up of this year's European Championship were without influential captain Harry Kane, but the likes of Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden were included.
Greece stunned the masses just after halftime as Benfica's dangerman Vangelis Pavlidis managed to find space in-behind and fired beyond goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
As the minutes ticked away, the Three Lions levelled it up when Bellingham capitalised on an assist from Dominik Solanke and fired in.
Pavlidis though managed to have the final say in the dying minutes and fired in to complete his brace and gave the English their first defeat under interim manager Lee Carsley.
Italy 2-2 Belgium
Italy surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Belgium in a League A Group 2 clash at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Azzurri continued to hold dominance and doubled the lead not long thereafter courtesy of a decent finish from Mateo Retegui.
However, the Italians were reduced to ten-men just before halftime when Lorenzo Pellegrini got his marching orders after having a yellow card for a challenge upgraded to red following a review.
The numerical advantage worked in favour of the Red Devils and saw Maxim De Cuyper reduce the deficit right ahead of the interval.
Belgium were on equal terms around the closing phases of the clash when a supply from Wout Faes saw Leandro Trossard pounce and levelled it up, effectively forced a point.
Israel 1-4 France
France bounced back from the defeat to Italy in their last match day and hammered a hapless Israel 4-1 in the other action in League A Group 2.
In the absence of captain Kylian Mbappe, the French preferred Randal Kolo Muani and added Christopher Nkunku, Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembele to complement the attack.
A howler from Israel's shot-stopper Omri Glazer on six minutes past kick-off saw Eduardo Camavinga sneak in to take advantage and duly broke the deadlock.
It didn't take the host nation long to rally about and in the midway mark of the first spell witnessed Omir Gandelman stepped inside to get hold of a delivery and levelled.
Les Blues continued to remain calm though thus managed to regain the lead a minutes after going level as Chelsea's Nkunku pounced to get the better of Glazer.
Norway 3-0 Slovenia
A double from revered striker Erling Haaland handed Norway a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Slovenia and top spot in League B Group 3.
With Erling Haaland up top and the go-to-guy for the Vikings, the visitors had talisman of their own none more Benjamin Sesko, Dejan Petrovic and goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Haaland came good seven minutes in and got the opening before Alexander Sorloth pulled to the fore a little after the break to extend their lead.
The evening belonged to a certain star striker plying his trade for Premier League champions Manchester City as he made it three from a ball by Sorloth and completed his brace.
