Manchester United and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has addressed speculation he could hang up his international boots after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Despite seemingly falling down the pecking order at United in recent weeks, the 37-year-old was named in Portugal's squad for their UEFA Nations League fixtures against Czech Republic and Spain in the coming days.

There is a growing expectation the veteran will play at the World Cup later this year in Qatar, where he will have the chance join an elite group of stars who have featured in five different World Cup tournaments.
With Ronaldo on the cusp of yet more history, there were rumours the showpiece in the Middle East could be the striker's last international competition.
However, at a recent awards ceremony held by the Portuguese Football Federation, the forward received an honorary prize for being his nation's greatest-ever goalscorer, and proceeded to reveal his ambition to represent his country at the UEFA European Championship in 2024.
"I am proud to receive an award of this magnitude," Ronaldo said, per ESPN.
"I never thought that one day I could achieve it. I thank everyone who was important in my career.
"It has been a long road, but I would like to say that my road is not over yet. [You're going to have to] take a little more load from Cris [Ronaldo].
"I hope to be part of the federation for a few more years.
"I still feel motivated; my ambition is high. I'm in a team with young people.
"I want to be part of this World Cup and the Euros too; I'm going to assume that right away."

Ronaldo has enjoyed an illustrious career with Portugal, captaining the nation to Euro 2016 glory and the 2019 UEFA Nations League title, while he also holds the record for the most goals scored in international games (117 strikes), surpassing Iran legend Ali Daei in 2021.
