Bafana Bafana got back to winning ways by defeating Sierra Leone 4-0 at FNB Stadium, with Themba Zwane playing a starring role on Saturday afternoon.
Luke Le Roux and Mihlali Mayambela were handed their debuts for Bafana in addition to the return of Mamelodi Sundowns duo Aubrey Modiba and Themba Zwane.
It was a very promising opening for the host through runs into the channels by Zwane and Sekgota before a teasing free-kick towards the near post by Modiba brought a save out of the opposite number.
Bafana continued to have the lion share of chances a little later where Orlando Pirates fullback Innocent Maela headed a cross from a corner-kick inches wide of the left-hand post.
The host eventually made their dominant spell count after the half-hour mark when Zwane turned remarkably from a loose ball won on the high-press and fired into the near corner.
Bafana should've added a second after eight minutes through a close-range attempt on the far left of the area by Mayambela following a ball over the top, but he was smothered.
With two changes from Sierra Leone following the break, the host were least bothered and doubled the lead when Mayambela arrived unmarked in the box and tapped in a cutback from Lepasa.
The Leone Stars continued to find the going tough on all fronts and conceded again as Zwane completed his brace midway through the second half with another clever finish.
Sierra Leone looked for a bit of momentum despite the hefty score-line against them, but their efforts were undone inside the closing minutes when Modiba made it four from good work by Lepasa.
There were more debuts in the closing stages, as Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley Du Preez and Khanyisa Mayo from Cape Town City came from Bafana late on in the hope for more goals.
However, Bafana weren't able to add onto their solid tally inside the closing seconds and settled for a four-goal triumph.
