Ten Hag: We don't play against Haaland

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag insists his side will not put too much focus containing Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

Haaland has been a revelation in the Premier League this season after scoring seven goals in first 11 games since joining from Borussia Dortmund.

The Norwegian striker will get a taste of his Manchester derby on Sunday against the Red Devils, but Ten Hag insists the striker is not the only threat.

"We don't play against Haaland, we play against Manchester City," Ten Hag said at his press conference, according to Sky Sports.

"They have a team, more than 11 players, but also we are convinced of our capabilities and if we act as a team, in and out of possession, then you can beat such opponents.

"That is the belief we have to take with us when we line up, when we start the game and we do it over more than 90 minutes on Sunday, clear."

Ten Hag was also awarded the Premier League's Manager of the Month for September, while United striker Marcus Rashford was named Player of the Month.
