Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has clarified the club's stance regarding the ongoing contract standoff with starlet Njabulo Blom.
Although Chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the this season's MTN8 semi-finals against AmaZulu, Blom was one of the standout performers for Chiefs and occasionally received an applause for the Amakhosi faithful at the FNB Stadium .
The 23-year-old's current contract with Chiefs is set to expire at the end of the season and it has been widely reported that the club and player are still trying to come to an agreement over a renewal.

Asked if there has been any breakthrough in the negotiations, Zwane insisted said he would leave the issue to the club's hierarchy.
"I'll leave that one to the team [club hierarchy] to deal with. I'm not that worried," the coach said.
"Obviously, we want to see him [Blom] on the field. He's got the quality and we've known Njabulo since he was 14-years-old, when he came to Kaizer Chiefs."
"Unfortunately, these things do happen, where they [players] will want people that can represent them. So I'll leave that one to the club to take care of."
