FC Barcelona returned to the summit of LaLiga courtesy of a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou on Sunday evening.
Ferran Torres returned and Ousmane Dembele started on the bench, with Raphinha in for the Frenchman as Barca restored Gerard Pique ahead of the injured Andreas Christensen.
Torres should have put the host ahead in the opening five minutes from a cross-field ball by Jordi Alba, but the former Manchester City man fluffed his lines and saw the chance go abegging.
Barcelona remained on the front-foot and made the breakthrough before the 20-minute mark after Celta failed to clear a cross in the area and allowed Pedri to enter and tuck in from close-range.
Smooth passing play around the area from the Catalans almost proved telling midway through the first half, as Alba grabbed a hold of play and fired against the side-netting.
Celta's very first opening came towards halftime when Jorgen Strand Larsen managed to get on the end of a fast-paced counter-attack and drag an effort wide from an inviting angle.
Very little separated the Blaugrana and Celta following the start of the second stanza, as the host were eager to preserve their slender advantage.
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez put on a triple change midway following the second half, with Dembele on for Raphinha and Ansu Fati recalled for Torres before Pedri made way for Frenkie De Jong.
The visitors seemed to have levelled minutes later after Larsen reacted quickest to a rebound from the upright following Iago Aspas' shot, but the offside flag went up.
Celta's encouraging play continued and a point-blank block from goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen parried Goncalo Paciencia's teasing shot in the box.
Paciencia threatened again on the cusp of fulltime when his first-time shot from a ball in hit the post before Ter Stegen made a flying stop to smother Carles Perez, handing Barcelona maximum points on the night.
