Amid the Brazilian's striking form this season, Arsenal have begun talks to renew his deal at the Emirates, but the log leaders will have to almost triple the 21-year-old's current wages if they want to secure his signature beyond June 2024, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that, with the Selecao star currently earning about £70 000 (R1.4 million) weekly, he wants a wage on par with those given to Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey, who are understood to be the Gunners' highest earners on £200 000 (R4 million) a week.
Despite the above, though, it is also said there is no rush for Arteta's side to reach an agreement with Martinelli's camp as his current deal is only set to expire in 2024, and the player is understood to be happy at the club.

Fellow Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka, 21, is also believed to be in talks over a new deal that is expected to see him earn the same salary as Jesus.
