Eto'o makes shock World Cup prediction

Cameroon Football Federation president Samuel Eto'o has made a huge prediction about the outcome of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The tournament is set to take place in 15 days and anticipation is building as it gets closer and squads get announced.

Five African teams will be participating in the competition and they will be hoping they can make history by being the first country from the continent to go further than the quarter finals.

Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana achieved these feats in 1990, 2002 and 2010 respectively.

Reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal will be competing in Qatar and they will be accompanied by Morocco, Cameroon, Ghana and Tunisia.

Eto'o has surprisingly tipped two of the aforementioned countries to make the final.

"Africa has always had the potential to achieve a successful World Cup, but we haven't always shown our best face up to now," Eto'o told ESPN.

"During the years, African teams have acquired more and more experience, and I think they're ready not only to participate in a World Cup, but also to win it.

"Cameroon will win the World Cup final against Morocco."

Eto'o has played in four World Cups but never progressed into the knockout stages but he did make history in the competition when he became the youngest African to feature in one.
