Serbian attacker Samir Nurkovic is confirmed to prefer to remain in the DStv Premiership after an acrimonious departure from Royal AM with potential suitors already showing interest.
Nurkovic has now left Royal AM without featuring in a single official game after enduring financial struggles at the club which has ultimately forced him to file a breach of contract case with FIFA.
The Serb's contract with Royal AM came into effect on July 1 after the expiry of the deal that he had at Kaizer Chiefs but according to his legal representative, he has now left KwaZulu-Natal without any financial compensation.

While Nurkovic's ongoing case against Royal AM is decided by football body FIFA, his on-field career is set to continue after an extended spell on the sidelines.
It is believed that Nurkovic is prioritising to remain in the DStv Premiership with exploratory talks already underway.
Two Johannesburg-based top-flight clubs have already been earmarked as potential destinations. One team remains unknown as several teams look to reinforce their attack in the second half of the season.
TS Galaxy are believed to be highly interested with Sead Ramovic's side struggling for goals having registered just six goals in 12 games.
Their believed proposal will be for Nurkovic to get close to match fitness during the FIFA World Cup break to add additional firepower once the league commences in January on a short-term deal for the remainder of the season.
At present what is of concern is that the 30-year-old last played in an official match back in May while on the books of Chiefs.
Returning to Europe remains an option but will only be considered as a last resort considering the overseas final packages would not compare to the DStv Premiership.
Nurkovic spent almost a decade playing in Slovakia before moving to Chiefs where he delivered in his first season before contractual issues and injuries affected his form.
The player's camp have ruled out any obstacles to join a potential club while confirming that the Serb has no reported major injuries.
Domestic football resumes at the end of December.
