Maluleka rubs shoulders with Jerry Sikhosana

AmaZulu star George Maluleka recently linked up with the iconic Jerry Sikhosana and thanked the local legend.

'Legs of Thunder' etched his name into the history books after a successful career. So much that the last hattrick in a Soweto derby match was scored 26 years ago by Sikhosana as he helped Pirates to a comprehensive 4-1 win in the 1996 Bob Save Super Bowl semifinals.

Following the end of his playing career, the star appeared of SuperSport as a commentator and more recently, the legend reportedly became the owner of a third division club in ABC Motsepe League called Blue Lions.

He recently also featured on a documentary for the Soweto Derby ahead of Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 win earlier this season.

Mido recently took to social media and uploaded a picture of himself and Jerry where he thanked the former footballer for yesterday.

It remains unconfirmed what he did for the player but Sikhosana is known for advising footballers how they can overcome the obstacles they facing.

The pair appeared to be in good spirits despite Jerry's beloved Pirates beating AmaZulu in the MTN8 final. 

Did you know?

Jerry Sikhosana scored close to 80 top-flight goals and will always be remembered for netting Pirates winner when they beat ASEC Abidjan in the second leg of the 1995 African Champions Cup Final to become the very first SA club to gain top honours on the continent.
