Manchester United are reportedly set to punish Cristiano Ronaldo following his explosive interview.
The Portuguese forward has been a hot topic since snippets of his interview were released in the early hours of Monday morning. Ronaldo went on to say that he does not respect the manager while the striker also claimed that he is being forced out of the Red Devils.
Since then, it has been reported that the United side are extremely disappointed in the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's comments and do not understand why he made the remarks.
According to The Metro, the Manchester club will now fine the forward for his actions.

It is said that the goal-getter will receive a hefty fine worth £1 million (R20 million).
While the Premier League club are taking action, they have also now responded to the interview by releasing a club statement.
"Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo," the statement read.
"The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established."
"Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."

This is the second time that Ronaldo was fined in the space of a month after he was docked of two weeks' wages in October when he refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur, with the striker walking down the tunnel before the match ended.
The 37-year-old has been widely linked with a move away from Ten Hag's side since the most recent transfer window and is likely to exit in January. Sporting Lisbon and Chelsea could reignite their interest in the star if he were to become available.
