Besides Sandilands, The Team of Choice is set to announce an additional assistant coach as Davids continues to overhaul the coaching staff.

"There are set to be more changes to the technical team," a club source tells KickOff.

"Wayne Sandilands is set to join as goalkeeper coach."

Former Orlando Pirates coach, Josef Zinnbauer was reportedly linked to the Maritzburg post before Davids was announced.

Maritzburg will be aiming to move away from the relegation zone with the club languishing rock-bottom of the standings in 16th position.
