Brazil superstar Neymar has named his four favourites to win the upcoming FIFA World Cup, including South American rivals Argentina and three other European nations.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has acknowledged that his country are among the top contenders for glory in Qatar, albeit he four other sides have as much of a chance to get their hands on the prestigious trophy.
Brazil are currently enduring a barren-run stretching 20 years since last winning the tournament back in 2002 in South Korea and Japan. The Selecao also remains the last non-European nation to win the grand showpiece, as Italy (2006), Spain (2010), Germany (2014), and France (2018) have all been crowned champions since Brazil's last triumph.
Perhaps 2014 was their best opportunity to win it given that they were the hosts. However, a damaging 7-1 defeat to eventual winners Germany in the semifinals, a result that obliterated several records, as Die Mannschaft claimed the biggest victory in World Cup semifinal history, per The Guardian.

Neymar has now named the Germans as one of the favourites for the crown. "The World Cup is full of surprises," he told the Telegraph.
"You get teams that unexpectedly get very far even in the competition even if many don't believe in them. But I believe the favourites are Argentina, Germany, Spain and France. I think those four along with Brazil are fully capable of reaching the final."
Asked about England's chances, the 30-year-old replied: "I really forgot about England but obviously they have a chance!
"I really like [Harry] Kane and [Jadon] Sancho. They're two incredible players and I have a special love for them because I like players that have their qualities."
